The issue is that the sound has gone. The Amplifier works in all other respects in terms of it powering up with the display working as well as it functioning apart from the sound,with the remote.
We have followed all the instructions about Factory resets but having tried this a number of times the sound still doesn't work. Having looked at online forums apparently this is quite a common issue with this Onyko model.
From what was being commonly said on the Forums it would appear that it is the HDMI card which seems to have failed, therefore needs replacing.
However not being an expert the lack of sound may well be caused by another issue. As said the machine powers up with the display working. However one day it suddenly stopped emitting any sound.
The amplifier is connected to the TV to provide surround sound. When the Onyko Amplifier is switched off the TV works as we have programmed the sound to come out of the TV
