Amazon Photos 5.0 Improves Album Creation And Editing, Takes You Into The Past With New ‘This Day’ Section

Amazon wants to store your photos on its servers, and the first part of that is making a compelling service. Since you would understandably want to organize your pictures into albums, the latest version contains a number of tweaks to streamline the process.

You can now create an album directly from a photo. Look for the icon in the action bar, type a title into the window that pops up, and you’re done. Simple, as it should be.

The update also lets you easily edit the contents of albums, change their names, and swap out the cover image. Then you can share the complete bundle from inside the app.

And if you have photos from this time last year, you can view them using the This Day section of the app. As you can see from the screenshot, I don’t.

You can save 5GB of photos using Amazon Cloud Drive without paying any money. To upload more, Amazon wants $60 a year (edit: for Unlimited Everything, for unlimited Photos, just $12 a year will suffice). Hit up the link below to get started.
