[APK Download] Drawing Mode Is Live In The Latest Version Of Google Keep, Along With An Updated Widget

Just last week Cody Toombs spotted the building blocks for a drawing function in Google’s Keep notes app, and now it’s live. The latest version of the APK, 3.2.435, makes it active and visible. You can wait for Google to get around to delivering it via the Play Store, or you can skip the line and download it from APK Mirror below.

As you might expect, the feature is pretty basic: you get three pen styles with a handful of colors, an eraser, and a selection tool. But then this isn’t intended to be a medium for serious art, it’s just for jotting down some ideas that are better kept in a drawing than in text. Users of stylus-equipped devices like the Galaxy Note series should be particularly fond of this update – similar apps like Evernote have had analogous functions for some time.

Old widget on the left – note the new icon.

To open a new drawing note, just click the marker icon on the Keep homepage. You can also start a new doodle from the homescreen widget, which has been updated to support the new functionality. To access secondary features for the pens and eraser, long-press on the relevant icon. At the time of writing we haven’t spotted anything else of note in the new version of the app.

Rather than wait for Google to push this download to your devices, which can take days, download and install it just like any other APK.
