Time for some rom-com goodness. Starring New Girl’s Damon Wayans Jr. and She’s All That’s Rachael Leigh Cook, the film follows a lawyer who takes on a case of man who attempts to sue a dating website for failing to find a match for him in order to save her own firm. 

Away 

Season 1 – 4 September 2020

This sci-fi space series stars Hilary Swank as an astronaut who is leading an international crew to a mission to Mars. However, she’s also a wife and mother, and finds herself having to choose between her family and her world-altering career. 

I’m Thinking Of Ending Things

Film – 4 September 2020

Charlie Kaufman, known for his work on Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, writes and directs Netflix’s latest indie horror hit – I’m Thinking Of Ending Things. Based on the book of the same name, the film follows a young girl who travels to her boyfriend’s family’s farm, where things start to take downward turn. 

Julie and the Phantoms

Season 1 – 10 September 2020

High School Musical fans are bound to love this one. Julie and the Phantoms is a new series about a young girl who is grieving over the loss of her mother, who was a musician. To rediscover her love for singing, she invokes the help of three singing…ghosts.  

Family Business 

Season 2 – 11 September 2020

Family Business is back for a second series. The show follows failed entrepreneur Joseph as he decides to turn his family’s kosher butcher shop into France’s first marijuana coffee shop after he finds out that weed is about to be legalised in France. 

The Duchess

Season 1 – 11 September 2020

Canadian comedian Katherine Ryan is back on Netflix with a new scripted series. Ryan stars as a single mother in London doing her best to raise her daughter. However, when she decides that she wants another baby, she has to choose between IVF, or getting pregnant with her ex’s child. 

The Devil of All Time

Film – 16 September 2020

The Devil of All Time is by far the biggest thing on Netflix this month, starring the likes of Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Bill Skarsgård, Mia Wasikowska, Riley Keough and Sebastian Stan. Set inbetween WW2 and the Vietnam War, this thriller follows a young veteran who is determined to protect his family in a town full of sinister characters 

Ratched

Season 1 – 18 September 2020

Ryan Murphy – creator of both the American Horror Story and American Crime Story series – is back with a spin-off of One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest. Ratched follows the character Nurse Ratched (Sarah Paulson) and tells the story of how she ended up becoming one of the most evil nurses on a psychiatric ward. 

Enola Holmes

Film – 23 September 2020

Forget Sherlock and Mycroft – Enola Holmes is all about their sister. Starring Millie Bobbie Brown, this film is set in 19th century England, Enola wakes up to discover her mother is missing. Both of her brothers want her to attend a strict girls school, but Enola has other ideas and takes matters into her own hands.
