We Fix What Others Can't
Android Wear devices have gone from novelty to necessity for many of us Android lovers in the past year. They are just so doggone handy, and some of them also make quite a fashion statement. One of the better looking devices on the market is the second generation Moto 360. The problem the 360 has, […]
It doesn’t matter how many times I try other keyboards, I can never seem to find anything better than SwiftKey. I’ve been using it for a few years now, so I’ve seen nearly every evolution of the keyboard, and I dig using the beta since it gets me in on the action just a little […]
Since launch, users have been able to download the Samsung Pay app from Samsung’s own dedicated app store. But since enough people aren’t aware that place exists, the app inevitably must make it to Google Play as well. And here it is. Play Store availability doesn’t open the app to any more devices than before. […]
That’s right, the original Tomb Raider sequel is approaching twenty years old. Nearly two decades have passed since players got to take a blocky Lara Croft back through tombs and mostly non-tombs on PlayStations and PCs. Now you can take the game with you in your pocket for the extra low price of 99 cents. […]
That tablet you carry around is so puny. Look at it, fitting comfortably in your hands and sporting not a single built-in handle. Outrageous. Samsung has made the rumored Galaxy View official, and it’s very much the opposite of your wussy little tablet. It’s big and it has a handle. Samsung has provided this handy graphic […]
At a wedding reception this past Saturday, I finally had a chance to put the HTC One A9 side-by-side with an iPhone 6. “It looks just like an iPhone. Even the little camera bump looks similar,” remarked the person whose iDevice I had temporarily pilfered for this little visual experiment. I was forced to agree. […]
You might recall almost two years ago when ATT started working on a sponsored data program. The idea was companies could pay ATT to exempt certain services from your data cap. ATT has now rolled out a different take on sponsored data as an app called Data Perks. By completing offers, you earn teeny tiny buckets of data […]
The G Vista is a mid-range version of LG’s flagship phone, a larger variant with similar looks and weaker specs for folks looking to save a little bit of money. Now ATT has announced that it will offer the G Vista 2 as an exclusive in a matter of weeks. And this time LG is […]
If you’ve been waiting patiently for your top-of-the-line Google flagship phone to arrive, you won’t have to wait too much longer. If you haven’t been waiting patiently, you probably don’t have long to wait either, but you should really be more gracious about it. We’ve been sent reports from multiple Android Police readers saying that […]
According to our poll, at least 1900 Android Police readers ordered a Nexus 5X, and your device may have started shipping already. If you’re one of them (or us, I ordered one too), you’re probably too eager to get your hands on the latest Marshmallow’y goodness straight from Google and LG’s hands. You’ve already read Ryan’s review […]
Getting bought by Microsoft hasn’t hindered the productive folks over at Wunderlist. They’re now ready to roll out an update to their Android app with a revamped interface that finally looks good enough to deserve a Material Design adjective. Its previous update had claimed that, but it was actually the bastard child of some iOS and Android design […]
Spotify finally capitulated and added support for Chromecast streaming recently, but there were a number of caveats. Streaming to the Chromecast Audio required a premium subscription and the first-gen Chromecast wasn’t supported. That second issue won’t be a problem anymore. Reboot your first-gen Chromecast, and Spotify should work just fine. The lack of first-gen support […]
